Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
Christmas 2008
Dear Family and Friends,
We are all very glad that this year ends with Christmas. Celebrating the hope and anticipation of Advent brings great comfort to a year full of upheaval and uncertainty. It has caused us to be especially mindful and thankful for all of you, for your friendship and support over the years. May the Lord give you a special blessing of His peace and presence with you in these Holy Days.
Our year has been full of heartfelt moments: Seeing the joy of spiritual awakenings in Vanuatu, ministry journeys with beloved associates and students, the joy of college graduations and the melancholy of seeing a daughter off to university so far away from home.
John’s ministry visit to the United States proved to be a very fruitful and busy time. It was great to be able to encourage God’s people in a time when there are so many serious concerns.
At this writing we are preparing for a big Thanksgiving feast with twenty friends and missions companions. Shari is cooking two turkeys, Nicole is making pumpkin pies, and Lauren is tidying up. I am putting up a big tent in the yard to accommodate the guests. It has been a great ministry to share this Thanksgiving tradition with our Kiwi friends.
We look forward to next year with a wonderful new intake of students at the Bible College, outreach in Vanuatu, and hosting a visit from Don & Carol Richardson to our city in May.
We look forward to hearing from you and getting the details on your and yours as we pray for God’s blessing on you all this Christmas.
